News from American Agri-Women
Mahindra North America has joined American Agri-Women as a Legacy Partner, the highest level of commitment in AAW’s new sponsorship program. Mahindra is the number one selling tractor company in the world based on volume.
Several initiatives are being launched this summer as part of the partnership, including the “Mahindra Pride Daughters of Agriculture” scholarship as well as rebates to members who purchase Mahindra equipment.
The Mahindra Pride scholarship includes five $1,000 scholarships for the 2017 spring semester. The scholarships are open to any farm, ranch or agri-business woman or her daughter to pursue accredited courses in agriculture, agribusiness, leadership, communications, rural sociology, medicine or any other courses directly related to agriculture.
Download the application here and it will soon be posted at americanagriwomen.org, under the AAW Foundation tab. The applications must be postmarked by August 20, 2016. (Applications that have been submitted this past June for AAW’s scholarships will also be considered for the Mahindra scholarships.) The scholarships will be announced at AAW’s annual convention in November in Raleigh, N.C., by Cleo Franklin, Mahindra North America’s vice president of marketing and strategic planning.
“We are pleased to expand our continued support for women in ag through this partnership with American Agri-Women. A pillar of our Rise philosophy is driving positive change and supporting the development of the industry’s women leaders of tomorrow through the Mahindra Pride scholarships is vitally important to Mahindra,” says Franklin. In recognition of the important role women play in farming and agri-business, as well as your leadership and service in the industry, we are offering a special rebate program exclusively for AAW members and their families. We look forward to an enduring partnership with AAW.”
Mahindra is also offering members rebates on several products in its product line. Mahindra is known as having “the toughest tractors on earth” and the company recently launched a new line of utility task vehicles, the mPact XTV. The rebate program for AAW members runs through 12/31/16 and includes:
- $200 rebate on the mPact XTV
- $200 rebate on eMax (1500 series) and Max (2500 series) compact tractors and two qualifying Mahindra implements
- $300 rebate on mPower and mForce utility tractors (3500, 4500 and 5500 series) and two qualifying Mahindra implements
For details regarding how to redeem the rebates, please contact Arlene Kovash, AAW Secretary.
Watch for other updates later this year about this new partnership. Thank you to Mahindra for your support of women in agriculture.
